Homecomings is an acoustic emo/pop punk project led by Oscar Hackett, it combines intricate & melodic guitar parts with honest, personal and relatable lyrics that you can't but help sing along to. Originally starting out as a three piece the band recorded their first EP in 2016 and released two singles 'Fix Me' & Cursed'. Oscar then went on to tour on his own and start writing & recording his next release by himself.

 

From a seaside town on the East Coast of Ireland, Homecomings has been compared more to acts on the East Coast of America such as Transit and Turnover.

 

Formed in 2015, the band has been heavily involved in the DIY punk scene in Ireland supporting acts such as The Front Bottoms, Steady Hands, Yvette Young & Kurt Travis along the way. 

 

After playing/touring in numerous different punk bands from a young age Oscar found a more delicate side to music which can be heard in Homecomings.

The experience he learned from being in other bands has led him down a very strong route of doing everything DIY where possible, from booking his own shows, to designing his own merch, artwork & website to shooting his own music videos and recording/releasing his own music.
