Never Meant Records is a DIY Independent label from Ireland committed to releasing music in a creative way that builds towards a community of respect, diversity and belief.

Set up by a group of friends in 2015, Never Meant Records’ ambitions are simple, to release music that has been created for the right reasons across a variety of platforms in an effort to promote the artists that we love which usually fall under the Punk umbrella whether that be alternative, pop punk, emo, hardcore or otherwise!

The labels first two releases are indicative of the path which Never Meant aims to go down. The Islands by Anna’s Anchor was an 8 week project which involved a tour of 8 of Ireland’s most remote islands in which a song was written about each one. This was released on a 30 page softback picture book c.d. The second release for the label was a 4 way 7” split from four artists all around Ireland which included a 4 date tour of Ireland.

We want to help release music in a collaborative unique way that contributes to our community, because at the end of the day, it’s all about helping each other out!
